Funky display

Hello,

   My vr500 has always worked flawlessly, turned it on tonight and the
display has gone a little odd.  Left two digits display as a backward
3 rather than an 8.  If it was the old days I'd assume a led segment
had blown.  Tried reset as a last resort, no help.

    Assume it needs to go in for repair, but is that feasible in
todays throw away society.  Anyone recommend a repair site?  Any vague
ideas on cost to have it repaired?
