To: [email protected] Date: Thursday, 19 March, 2009, 4:00 PM Ed, Thanks! I haven't tried setting the VR-500 to NAM mode yet, so far I've done well with it just as it is. One problem I did run into is the presence of a strong internal spur on 15.200, and a weaker but still overpowering one on 15.400MHz. I can't find anything here that might be generating carriers on those frequencies, so they must be internal. Other than that, the VR-500 is passing all my tests on favorite frequencies. The real test apparently will be how reliable the radio is. Time will tell. The warranty card will take a year to fill out, they want to know everything about me!
