Jimmy, I have excellent results on AM using a Terk AM advantage antenna. I purchased a male BNC to RCA female adapter and a 1/8 mono to RCA male patch cord from radioshack for a direct connection. I have the narrow AM activated and in the evening I can pick up WLW in cincinnati from my condo in Naples Florida. In addition, I am using a Sony AN-LP1 antenna for shortwave listening and it works great as well. Lastly, for scanner use I have found that the Watson W889 to be very good. Mark
