When I'm fishing for frequencies in VFO mode (such as dialing in SW freqs), I find myself using the tuning knob - just clicking away until I find something that comes in. I'd like to use the scan feature to do this, so as not to wear out the dial-knob, but so far for me it leaves a little to be desired compared to the old-fashioned way of just turning the tuning knob. What is your method for doing this ? Is there something I'm missing about this feature that makes it more effective when surfing ? Also, is there a way to make the dial turn smoother ? Thank you, Jimmy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
