Hi Susan, I agree with both Ron & Mike. It is an excellent receiver and I find the FTBVR5K software works very well, you need a 'null modem' cable with it, which can easily be purchased. Also, as I'm sure you already know, a good external antenna mkes a big differenace to the signals you will be able to receive.
