In addition, the free FTBCAT software also works well to control and operate the radio.  It is from the same publisher.  If you can't find a null modem cable, then a regular cable with a null modem adapter works also.  Enjoy the radio.

I agree with both Ron & Mike. It is an excellent receiver and I find the FTBVR5K software works very well, you need a 'null modem' cable with it, which can easily be purchased. Also, as I'm sure you already know, a good external antenna mkes a big differenace to the signals you will be able to receive.

Hope you enjoy your new receiver and you let us know how you get on with it.
