I've purchased Bob's software, but it's not a panacea for all of the problems either.
Using his software:
I have no problems entering the frequency's.
How do I tell an individual line frequency that I want it in Bank 1?
Then, label Bank 1 under the Banks Menu?
When I try to tell a memory to be in Bank 1, I get an error message when I try to tell subsequent memory's to use the same bank #.
I thought that Banks were group of memory frequencies?
What am I doing wrong?

  I know the owner's manual is very badly written, but you'll have to learn! Once I found out how to do it, I rewrote it into a notebook just as a memory jogger rather than blow-by-blow instructions. Here's what I have written:

  Frequency into memory banks.
  Press [F] then [V/M] then [ENT].
  Press cursor keys to select existing bank or new bank number.
  Rotate dial to select old or new memory number. (if old memory, then frequency is shown on the bottom line of screen).
  Press [ENT] twice, enter channel tag name.
  Press [ENT] twice, enter Main frequency, change mode and step if required.
  Press [ENT] twice, enter sub frequency, change mode and step if required.
  Press [ENT] twice to MISC menu - cursor down to function and press [.] key to change if required.
  Cursor down to END.
  Press [ENT] twice to finish.

  ...but the best option is to buy Bob Freeth's brilliant little memory organiser programme FTBVR5K.
