thanks for the prompt reply, i meant to say i need it for the vr5000 radio,
i think my fingers were typing faster than my brain could keep up, its been a loooong weekend.
i have a copy of 1.13 but because of the high res needed to display it i cant make it work

Yes, a few have purchased a copy.  It has only been out about a week.  The 2.00 

version is now at version 2.15 and is for the R-20 Communications Receiver.  The 

version 1.13 you are referring to, is for the VR-5000 and is currently being 

rewritten.  I am not sure about the release date for the VR-5000 version, but I 

am about 75% through the code.  The VR-5000 and the R-20 talk very differently 

to the computer and that is why there two different programs.  They also behave 

very differently.  The VR-5000 version will look nearly identical to the R-20 

version.  I am trying to keep all of my software based on my new design 

concept.  You posted this on the R-20 forum, so I am assuming you are interested 

in the R-20 version of the software.



The entire code was rewritten over the course of about two years.  I did a lot 

of testing and reworking of my original design concept, which meant I needed to 

reinvent ways of handling audio and improve my control over the receivers.  I 

did this to accommodate the new Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.  

Everything changed when they came out and so my software had to change too.  

Also, I wanted to incorporate things into my software that users had requested 

over the past three years.



The new versions are better than the older versions because they are compatible 

with XP, Vista and Windows 7.  You can run my new version on any of these 

platforms without difficulty.  Also, the abiltiy to move windows around and make 

your use more comfortable for your own listening style was something many users 

wanted.

hello folks

it looks from the ke7ate website that a new version of  the R-20 Signal Capture 

and Analysis - Version 2.00 has been produced, has any one managed to get a copy 

yet?.

and does anyone know if registered owners of the previous version will get a 

discount on the new version.

from reading the website it looks a lot better than version 1.13

i will email the author about it just checking on here first.
