Can anyone help me with the CAT, I cannot turn on the CAT.
I have set the CAT RATE to 9600, what else need to be set???
Is there many type of cable, I am using USB to Serial cable (male) and then connect it to another both end female serial cable???
Is it different the cable???

Hi John,

Have a look at Ken's KA7ATE website for a programme that will do all you want. It won't make your VR5K into a fast spectrum analyser but it does a good job at what it does. Only the internal processor can control the scanning fast enough to call it an SA, the limiting factor as you say is the CAT.
