I also face difficulty to start CAT.
I have set the CAT RATE to 9600.
I use FTBVR5K (software downloaded from internet).
I also send the 5 bytes command code to the radio.
I use usb to serial port (male), then connect to another female to female serial cable, then connect to the radio.
Still the radio give no response, why???
