Thats great! I looked at the clock problem and, as I recall, (Caution, I'm 67), the clock uses the processor, it isn't a seperate RTC chip as used by other folks. I think you may have to find a "Sleep" mode that shuts everything down but the clock. As I recall, there are some "PIC" chips that allow you to program that. I wonder if such a feature is available in the processor chip in the VR5K?

Yes I would be truely interested in a step by step procedure for properly using that bloody Smart Search Function.
