Hi. My VR5000 has firmware  Ver1s.17 on a 2L year receiver.
This was accessed by pressing and holding the V/M button when powering on the receiver, maybe an older firmware version won't work the same way.
I'm getting another VM 5000 which has the DSP board in it i'll see what firmware version that has as well and post that later if its different.
