A serial hotsync cable is available for newer Palm PDAs with 
the "universal connector." I used a Palm m500 with one of these 
cables, and a null-modem adapter, to control a Ten-Tec RX320 black-
box shortwave radio with a serial input. Otherwise, a Palm modem 
cable can be used instead of the serial hotsync cable and null-modem.
