Yes, you are right. That was why I thought it should be possible. I
know that
for my Palm Vx also such a cable can be used.
I know of people who use there Palm to control a computer controlled
telescope (a so called goto-scope). You type in the name of e.g. a
star or a
planet and the Palm sends the control instructions to the scope via
the serial
interface.

Conclusion: I also think it's possible, as long as the protocol
specifiaction
of the VR120 is known (and it is, because of the tk120 software) and it is
known how to send them from the Palm.

That was why I was wondering if it was ever tried.......
