None of the ones I have tried make much of a difference. The diamond does 
help on the 155.000 band, but otherwise they all seem to work about the same. the 
radio just does not have great ears (unlike the VR-500, which is TOO 
sensitive. Somes times I have to set the attenuator AND use a stubby antenna on it)
