calcium chloride

Hello, all
When I mixed calcium chloride with tricalcium silicate I get A hard compound but after several minuts the calcium chloride hydrated water and become a britle and decompose compound. can any scientist tell me how can prevent this problem or is there any compound can used Instead of calcium chloride
