I am confused about the various forms of lime.
I am trying to convert Potassium carbonate from ash drippings into KOH.
I have some CaO Calcium Oxide from an ancient chemistry set but it does
not disolve in water or in the Pot carbonate.
The definitions I have come up with are very confusing such as calling
CaO slaked lime but it must not be or it would dissolve in water.
Any help?
