Hello all, The book is indeed published posthumously by Captain Jerry Roberts=E2=80=99= wife Mei Roberts. Jerry Roberts completed his Tunny memoirs shortly = before he died in March 2014. That Amazon lists Jerry Roberts as the = author of several other books in a quirk of Amazon. Their author = database is extremely crude simply listing all authors happening to have = the same name. Shall we believe Amazon then there is at least 520 books = attributed to the prolific author Jerry Roberts et al. This book is of course not the official history of breaking Tunny at = Bletchley Park, however I think and I hope that it might fill in some of = the areas that often official histories leaves blank or neglected, the = histories behind the scene. The personal histories of those who = actually did the work each day.=20 The history of BP breaking the Lorenz machine has not yet been fully = explored. What is missing is of course The Testery Report or as it is = entitled: =E2=80=9CSolution of German Teleprinter Cyphers (Testery) = Linguistic Methods,=E2=80=9D and the missing =E2=80=9CResearch Logs.=E2=80= =9D The logs, which contain the results of investigations into the = various problems that occurred while attacking the Lorenz machine, seems = to have disappeared at least it has been reported that they are not to = be found at GCHQ. However, perhaps there is hope now that Professor John = Ferris is supposed to turn the GCHQ archives up-side-down in his attempt = to write the official history of GCHQ for its centenary in 2019. I wish = him luck. Best regards, Frode Weierud > On 28 Feb 2017, at 11:11, Martin Postranecky <m.postranecky-pJrKddK8Xz/[email protected]> = wrote: >=20 > Forwarded from J. V.
