Yes, both work, though with shades of difference. Jeffrey suggested this in the body of the email: subscribe bletchleypark I suggested this: subscribe bletchleypark Your Name end The two additional elements in my suggestion are optional but helpful. - adding your name makes management easier for human list managers, since it clearly associates the email address with your name, making it easier handle requests for removal, changes, etc. - adding "end" halts listserv processing, useful in case a signature has been added (listserv expects that all lines are valid listserv commands). Some people forget to suppress the addition of a signature block when sending email instructions to a listserv. Anyone wishing to subscribe can use either form.
