Having opened up a discussion, it is probably opportune to mention a seminar that I am involved in organising, on behalf of the British Computer Society Information Security Specialist Group (BCS-ISSG). The event, entitled `Enigma Variations' is being held at Bletchley Park (in The Library) on Wednesday, 19th September, 2007, and will cover some of the technical aspects of information security, such as encryption, digital signatures single sign-on and biometrics. The day will also include a presentation on the history of BP (and Colossus, including the rebuild), as well as an optional tour of the location. The seminar is open to anyone (with concessionary fees for members of the BCS and BCS-ISSG).. If any of you are interested in attending, please email me at [email protected] and I will arrange for a calling notice (with booking form) to be sent to you.
