Having found almost identical article in THE GUARDIAN as well,
I expect it all came from the "Auction Publicity" press release

That of course may refer to the original lofts at BP, and presumably
the messages would be decoded & read locally as well.

That is not the same as "return messages...for decoding at Bletchley 
Park", which gives the impression that the messages needed to be 
'broken' by the BP codebreakers.

I expect that the missing 'fly back to' in the TIMES article confused
me... (-;
