This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher to join an ERC-funded project “Syntax shaped by cognition: transforming theories of syntactic systems through laboratory experiments” (Principal Investigator: Dr Jennifer Culbertson). This project aims to explore and formalize the cognitive forces that shape natural language syntax. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Cognitive Science, Linguistics, or Psychology or related disciplines with a proven track record in computational modelling of language or related cognitive processes. Additional experience conducting behavioural experiments is desirable but not required. The post will be based in the Centre for Language Evolution.
