The theme for the 2020 fifth NJMLM conference is ''Curricula and national standards in foreign language teaching.'' Invited speakers: David Leat, University of Newcastle: From the Written Curriculum to the Classroom Curriculum Petra Daryai-Hansen, Københavns Universitet: Fremmedsprogsundervisningen i Danmark: udvikling og udfordringer med fokus på brobygning mellem uddannelsesniveauerne og flersprogethedsdidaktik For the first time, a PhD-course in language didactics is organized in connection with the conference on April 21-24, 2020. The topic of the course is Multilingualism and language didactics. Participation with a conference paper gives 5 ECTS; participation only in the PhD-course sessions gives 3 ECTS. Call for Papers: V NJMLM Conference: ''Curricula and national standards in foreign language teaching.'' Forum for Language Teaching and Learning at the University of Agder invites teachers, teacher trainers, teacher students, researchers and PhD fellows to participate with the following contributions: Paper (20 minutes) - Research-based studies Workshop (60 minutes) - Practical teaching sessions TeachMeet (2-4 minutes) - Sharing of tips and tools A short summary of the contribution (max. 200 words) is to be sent to Eli-Marie Drange ([email protected]) by January 15, 2020. The contributions need to be in a Scandinavian language or in English.
