Meeting Description:

The 5th Usage-Based Linguistics conference, jointly organized by Tel Aviv
University, University of Haifa, Ben Gurion University and the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, will be held at the Tel Aviv University campus, June
30-July 2, 2020.

The conference aims to bring together researchers who study language structure
and use from a wide range of perspectives – typological, developmental,
psycholinguistic, interaction-oriented, text-oriented, and computational.

Keynote speakers:

Balthasar Bickel (University of Zurich)
Ev Fedorenko (MIT)
Ted Gibson (MIT)
Sabine Stoll (University of Zurich)


2nd call for papers: 

UBL5 | 5th Usage-Based Linguistics conference

We invite original papers, which adopt a Usage-Based Approach to the study of
language, including corpus-based and experimental methodologies. We welcome
abstracts on any aspect of language structure and use. Proposals can take one
of three formats:

1. Oral papers (20 minute talk + 10 minute discussion)
2. Posters
3. Symposia, composed of four related 15 + 5 minute talks + 10 minute general
discussion

Abstract submission:

Abstracts are limited to 400 words (excluding title and list of references).
Authors can submit up to 2 abstracts, provided they are first author on only
one of them. Anonymized abstracts should be submitted to:
