For everybody's reference... this is a problem with the old UseModWiki software. If the wiki CGI program crashes during an edit, it leaves a lock file that's used to keep multiple accesses from interfering with each other, and so no other edits will be allowed because they think another save is going on. You can clear this by going to a URL like: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki.cgi?action=unlock (I've just done it for it.wikipedia.org.) -- brion vibber (brion @ pobox.com)
