Eh? Wikimedia has a bank account that accepts normal transfers. Not sure if that can be done across the pond though. I think it is a bad idea to have volunteers use their own bank accounts as "half way" houses. That is bad in organizational and accountability respects. Why not just make a direct payment to an official Wikimedia channel? PayPal does seem to be harder to set-up in certain nations and is only in English, so lets add another service that does the same thing but does not have the same disadvantages. Then that service could even feed a German (or whatever) Wikimedia bank account if that is deemed to be the best way to do things. In that case all we need is one person to set-up the bank account on behalf of the foundation. But setting up individual bank accounts in every nation is a non-starter, IMO. -- Daniel Mayer (aka mav)
