Dear colleagues,

Please find below a 5-month internship offer at LIMOS (Université Clermont
Auvergne), starting from April 2026.

Internship title: Pickup and Delivery Problem for a Remanufacturing Plant
Duration: 5 months
Period: Starting April 2026

Context: This internship is part of a research project focused on an
integrated problem involving the collection, repair, and delivery of
products in a remanufacturing context, a crucial component of the circular
economy. The objective is to study a simplified version of the
Remanufacturing Pickup and Delivery Inventory Routing Problem (R-PDIRP),
including:
 - the collection of products from customers,
 - their repair under capacity constraints,
 - and their final delivery.
The work includes a literature review, instance generation, and the
sequential resolution of subproblems using mathematical modeling and/or
heuristics.

Desired profile:
 - Master’s student (or equivalent) in computer science, industrial
engineering, or a related field;
 - Strong programming skills (C++, Python, or Java);
 - Good knowledge of mathematical modeling (MIP) and heuristic design.

The internship may lead to a PhD opportunity.

Applications (CV + motivation letter + transcript of records) should be
sent to: Philippe Lacomme ([email protected]) and Katyanne Farias (
[email protected]).

Please feel free to share this offer with potentially interested students.

Best regards,
