  SCOPE
  -------

The 2026 Workshop on Algorithms, Bioinformatics, and Computation Theory
(WABCT 2026), in conjunction with the 2026 International Computer
Symposium (ICS 2026), will be held at National Taipei University of
Nursing and Health Sciences, Taipei, Taiwan, from October 29 to 31,
2026.

The International Computer Symposium (ICS), founded in 1973, is a
long-established biennial international conference in Taiwan. It
provides a forum for researchers, educators, and professionals to
exchange research results and practical experiences and to explore
emerging trends and applications in computer and information
technologies.

WABCT 2026 provides a focused international forum for researchers
working on algorithms, theoretical computer science, combinatorial
optimization, computational biology and bioinformatics, and related
areas of computation theory. The workshop welcomes both theoretical
contributions and algorithmic research motivated by emerging
applications.

The proceedings of ICS 2026 are planned as EI-indexed proceedings. A
proposal for publication in Springer’s Communications in Computer and
Information Science (CCIS) series is currently under evaluation.

Papers of high quality may also be considered for invitation to special
issues of international journals related to the topics of WABCT 2026.

  SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
  -------------------------

Authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts reporting
original and unpublished research related to the topics of the workshop.
Simultaneous submission to other conferences or workshops with published
proceedings are not allowed.

Submissions must be formatted using the Springer LNCS style without
altering the prescribed margins or font size.

The maximum length of a submission is 12 pages, including references but
excluding an optional appendix. Proofs omitted because of space
limitations may be included in an appendix, which will be read by the
Program Committee at its discretion.

The first page of the submission must indicate whether the paper is
eligible for the Best Student Paper Award. Submissions that
substantially deviate from the formatting and submission requirements
may be rejected without consideration of their technical merits.

Authors should select the WABCT 2026 track when submitting their papers.

  AWARDS
  --------

Awards will be given for the Best Paper and Best Student Paper.

To be eligible for the Best Student Paper Award, at least one author
must be a full-time student at the time of submission, and the student
author(s) must have made a significant contribution to the work.
