PhD position in Discrete Mathematics at TU Hamburg

Dear colleagues,

the chair for Discrete Mathematics at TU Hamburg invites applications 
for a PhD-position.

Our group focuses on topics ranging from extremal and probabilistic 
combinatorics to discrete optimization. We welcome candidates who have a 
strong interest in these areas and an excellent background in 
Mathematics or Computer Science.

The position runs for four years, is paid according to the German scale 
EG 13 TV-L, and comes with some teaching duties that can be done in 
English or German. The expected starting date is Oct/Nov 2026.
