the ideas was to separate out discussion from announcements. this came 
about when some people felt that the discussion was not of interest to 
them. i have made it a habit to post new article news on both lists. 
but perhaps I should just do it to "community".

i would still prefer to keep them separate - unless this is a *real* 
issue :)
