Especially since there are two new kids on the block (or rather, they are almost there...) Markus' microblocs and Azamat's new hybrid dynammics solver (which will _not_ be a traditional Class library, but rather a microblocs application). In addition, there is the "model-driven engineering" evolution that should be consolidated, that is, with a minimum of the integration of not-so-new formal models for: - geometry: frames and kinematic chains - physical units In my view, all of the above can (should!) be done in a way that does not compromise the ongoing Orocos RTT and KDL evolutions: they are _complements_, not replacements. But I do expect them to have an influence on how developers should _use_ RTT and KDL...
