As GenoM is a component based architecture which will rely strongly on inter
process message passing (and the posters) I suggest to have a look at TCA
(Task Control Architecture) - you can download the manual from
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/project/TCA/release/tca.orig.html
It might be helpful to verify the classes of messages that GenoM uses agains
the capabilities of TCA.- in other words whether is it capable of all kinds
of transfers. If not then a certain limitation is being inbilt into the
system. By no means am I suggesting to follow the architecture of TCA, which
has a central server that handles all the communication and moreover is
TCP/IP based, what is one of the reasons that it is non-real time, but still
I think it is valuable to read it.
