If you already know about TCA please disregard this message. As GenoM is a component based architecture which will rely strongly on inter process message passing (and the posters) I suggest to have a look at TCA (Task Control Architecture) - you can download the manual from http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/project/TCA/release/tca.orig.html It might be helpful to verify the classes of messages that GenoM uses agains the capabilities of TCA.- in other words whether is it capable of all kinds of transfers. If not then a certain limitation is being inbilt into the system. By no means am I suggesting to follow the architecture of TCA, which has a central server that handles all the communication and moreover is TCP/IP based, what is one of the reasons that it is non-real time, but still I think it is valuable to read it.
