Hi all, The SmartSoft communication patterns are being reimplemented using CORBA as communication layer. The current release can be downloaded from http://christian.schlegel.bei.t-online.de/smartsoft-src.tgz It does not yet contain every SmartSoft communication pattern (the event pattern is provided next week e.g.) but contains examples which show how to use the patterns. The examples also show what to do when using a component and what to do when developing a component. It requires a compiled version of ACE+TAO. The language is C++ on Linux and in future releases, it should run on every platform supported by TAO. The software provides approved communication patterns for component communication. It allows structured interfaces with a clear semantic between components. The implementation is not suitable for "hard realtime systems", but is based on SmartSoft implementations which have been used successfully over several years on different mobile platforms.
