You catch the main points, thanks! But Orocos has evolved quite a bit since
the time of the material that you used for your presentation :-)
Some loose remarks:
- we do not support RTLinux anymore.
- Orocos does not impose any kind of architecture, while the "flow
diagrams" that you use seem to suggest differently.
- the different components can exchange data in a many more ways that what
you draw on your figures.
- substantial improvements in the realtime core have been implemented, such
as: events, lock-free data exchange, rich Finite State Machine
functionality, etc.
- some components have gotten more appropriate names, and some have
disappeared (such as the HeartBeat).
But these are mostly details, that a first-time audience is not very
interested in. So, thanks again for the promotion!
