Map dynamicity is something that may change how you interpret things. It is also a bit complex. Making a stage driver to represent dynamic maps might be a bit easier, but how are you going to get this info on real robot? Are you going to use laser, sonar? or do you have a vicon-like system? You may use simulation proxy to get data about dynamic obstacles on stage, and write your own driver, it shouldn't be that hard.
