here are my views on this
regarding doping, as many canadians i am against this and think cheaters should be punished. however i do not understand how the meldonium has been handled with wada.
did they know or not when they banned it how long it takes the body to eliminate it.
wada seems to be walking on eggs about this. there should have been enough time between the announcement and the date it is banned to have everyones body eliminate it.
i think a variety of competitions is great. mass start is great, i havent seen much team sprint but i think it is a very nice competition (allthough i do not understand the strict rules about it. it seems like if the guy who was supposed to skate the last lap falls during the second lap, the second lap guy cant do the 3rd lap or the team will be dqed)
i loke these new events as long as we keep the old ones. i think the 10k should stay and the 2x500 m in championships should stay as well.
i would like the allround to survive too. maybe a way tomhave more skaters skate te last distance would be to have
firsr day : 1500 - 3k/5k , for all skaters entered
second day: 500 - 5k/10k, for the top 16 of the first day
