Minutes of ERPS General Meeting #280 1 April 2004 The President called the meeting to order at 8:10 PM. Members present were Rick Eversole, Dave Masten, Pierce Nichols, Gerald Nordley, Julie Porter, and Chris Winter. Reports and discussion on agenda items were as follows: DOCUMENTATION ------------- Chris Winter Chris reported the following progress: WEBSITE: Several pages are on-line for testing. The general design of these pages is complete, but fine-tuning is deferred to a later time. When viewed with a standards-compliant browser, the main menu stays in place as intended while content scrolls; however, IE6 still does not "get it". The site is usable with Lynx 2.8.2; the latest version of Lynx should do even better. CD-ROM: About 500 MB of data are on hand. Organization of these files has begun; the effort is still on track to be complete by the target date of April 15. Julie reported that she received yet another inquiry about her Gerber-file conversions. She proposed to put this on the Web site as a data file. The proposal passed on a voice vote. INFOTECH -------- Sean Lynch Nothing to report LIAISONS -------- Michael Wallis Sean reported that, at a Stratofox event near Buttonwillow, the team received 1 APRS packet from a rocket in flight. Gerry will take an electronic copy of our brochure to a science fiction convention he's invited to next weekend. During the hunt for this leak, it announced itself in the form of a 10-foot geyser. It was soon fixed; further improvements are pending. Work on Freezewheel Mark 1 continues.
