DaimlerChrysler has delivered two F-Cell fuel cell vehicles to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Honda is equipping all hydrogen fuel cell-powered 2005 FCX vehicles with a Honda-developed navigation system, directing drivers to the location of hydrogen stations, including stations being developed as part of California's "Hydrogen Highway" Initiative. This voice-activated system is standard on all second generation FCX vehicles equipped with Honda's originally developed fuel cell stack and can find and display hydrogen stations through voice commands, including directions and driving distances. The DFC(r) power plants are expected to be delivered to the TST site by the first quarter of 2006. Avalence has been awarded a $750,000 DOE Phase 2 contract to develop and install a renewably-powered Hydrofiller fueling station at an AC Transit depot in California. AC Transit is planning on linking system to a photovoltaic array to demonstrate the production of environmentally green hydrogen.
