CUTE/ECTOS Bus Program Extended One Year, Ballard Secures $8.3 million Bus =
Field Service Contract.

The European Union has agreed to part-fund the CUTE (Clean Urban Transport =
for Europe) / ECTOS (Ecological City Transport System) Project that began i=
n 2003 for another 12 months.  Seven cities will take part in the extension=
 - Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Luxemburg, Madrid and Reykjavik, all of wh=
ich will continue to run three buses each. The city of Hamburg will also pa=
rticipate, increasing its fleet size from three to nine.  Ballard Power Sys=
tems, Inc. has secured an $8.3-million contract to service the Ballard-powe=
red Mercedes-Benz Citaro fuel cell buses in the program.

Plug Power Enters into New Agreements with Honda, LOGANEnergy and Pacific T=
elepoint.

Plug Power Inc. has entered into two new agreements with Honda R&D Company,=
 Ltd. of Japan to continue expanding the companies' collaborative efforts. =
 The first of the new agreements is the fourth consecutive phase of joint d=
evelopment of the Home Energy Station, a fuel cell system that provides ele=
ctricity and heat to a home or business, while also providing hydrogen fuel=
 for a fuel cell vehicle.  The second new agreement is focused on the advan=
cement of technology for future Home Energy Stations, as well as more gener=
alized applications, which are expected to benefit other Plug Power product=
s.  Plug Power also entered into agreements with LOGANEnergy Corp. and Paci=

Tokyo Gas to Evaluate FuelCell Energy System.

Tokyo Gas has initiated a program to evaluate a FuelCell Energy Direct Fuel=
Cell=AE (DFC=AE) power plant for possible introduction to customers of its =
energy and industrial gas divisions.  The unit is currently located at Kawa=
saki Heavy Industries' factory in Akashi, Japan, where Tokyo Gas will evalu=
ate the power plant under a variety of expected operating conditions focusi=
ng particularly on grid interconnection performance. Tokyo Gas has agreed t=
o install this DFC300A power plant at its new R&D center in Tsurumi in the =
second quarter of 2006.

The Japan Institute of Wastewater Engineering Technology (JIWET) has comple=
ted a comprehensive review of a FuelCell Energy DFC300A fuel cell power pla=
nt operating at Seibu Wastewater Treatment Plant, certifying that the produ=
ct meets or exceeds the independent industry trade group's examination stan=
dards for electrical efficiency, heat recovery efficiency, air emissions an=
d operational stability in anaerobic digester gas (ADG) applications.

Angstrom Power Launches Commercially Available Fuel Cell Flashlight, Surpas=
ses 5,000 km with Fuel Cell Bike Light Program.=20

Angstrom Power has introduced its A2 micro hydrogen(tm) fuel cell flashligh=
t, which runs on hydrogen fuel stored in the handle. The 1-Watt LED flashli=
ght has a continuous run-time of more than 24 hours on a single charge of h=
ydrogen.   Angstrom Power also announced that participants in its micro hyd=
rogen(tm) bike light program have logged over 5,000km, about the distance o=
f Vancouver to Ottawa or Seattle to Boston.  Ten volunteers biked to work i=
n all weather conditions and used bike lights powered by Angstrom's micro h=
ydrogen(tm) fuel cells in place of disposable batteries.  Each bike light r=
uns on hydrogen that is stored in a 21cc cartridge, which provides the equi=
valent energy of about 10 AA disposable alkaline batteries.  The light prov=
ides about 20 hours of continuous run-time between refueling and takes only=
 minutes to refuel.

Jadoo Delivers Fuel Cell System to Replace Military Batteries.=20

Jadoo Power Systems has delivered the IFS24 military development platform t=
o the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) division of the U.S. Military.  Th=
e IFS24 fuel cell power system will replace existing batteries and provide =
the required runtime in a package that is 30% the weight of the current bat=
tery system.

IEC Publishes Small Fuel Cell Safety Specification.

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has published a safety =
specification for small fuel cells capable of powering personal electronic =
devices, marking another significant milestone on the road to commercializa=
tion.  The specification covers fuel cells in devices such as cell phones, =
music players, gaming consoles, flashlights, and laptop computers.  It incl=
udes rigorous testing and design requirements to ensure safety during use a=
nd transportation.  Numerous fuels are covered, including methanol, formic =
acid, borohydride, butane, and hydrogen.  Compliance with the specification=
 is voluntary, but compliance is required of devices that would be transpor=
ted on passenger aircraft under the International Civil Aviation Organizati=
on's (ICAO) Technical Instructions permitting carry-on devices powered by f=
uel cells starting in 2007.

Ztek and Navy to Collaborate on Camp Pendleton Fueling Station.

Ztek Corporation has reached agreement with U.S. Department of Navy (DoN) t=
o collaborate on a hydrogen fueling station project at the U.S. Marine Corp=
s Base Camp Pendleton in California.  Ztek will supply a High Performance S=
team Reformer (HPSR) with a capacity sufficient to service the military nee=
ds on the base and civilian hydrogen vehicles from the area.  Funding for t=
he project will be provided jointly by Ztek and the DoN, with the potential=
 participation of the State of California through its "Hydrogen Highways" i=
nitiative.

Hydrogenics Receives Orders for Hydrogen Generator Plants in China.

Hydrogenics Corporation has received orders to supply electrolysis-based hy=
drogen generator plants to two of China's largest energy companies. China E=
lectric Power Energy Group and China National Power have each purchased a H=
ySTAT-A Hydrogen Plant, capable of producing 10 Nm3/h of high purity hydrog=
en at a pressure of 25 bar. In both cases, the hydrogen produced will be us=
ed to cool the generators in a coal-fired power plant. Delivery of both ord=
ers is expected to take place in 2006.

Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Corporation (DMFCC), has entered into a fuel cart=
ridge design, prototyping and supply agreement with Catalytic Device Intern=
ational, LLC (CDI).  CDI is developing innovative heaters based on the cata=
lytic decomposition of methanol into water vapor, carbon dioxide and heat w=
ithout burning.  These heaters require a methanol fuel cartridge similar to=

NanoDynamicsTM Inc. has been granted a U.S. patent on solid oxide fuel cell=
 structures.  U.S. patent number 6,998,187 entitled "Solid Oxide Fuel Cells=
 with Novel Internal Geometry" describes ways of manufacturing compact dura=
ble solid oxide fuel cells with high efficiency.  NanoDynamicsTM also recei=

The Department of Energy issued a solicitation for applied research and dev=
elopment projects addressing viable hydrogen storage technologies for on-bo=
ard vehicular applications.  Projects may support existing DOE Hydrogen Sto=
rage Centers of Excellence or may be independent R&D projects in specific t=
echnical topic areas such as materials discovery; engineering science; new =
synthesis, characterization, and testing techniques; and analysis. The tota=
l funding available for all new awards is $6 million.  Preapplications are =

Franklin Fuel Cells Receives $1 Million in Defense Bill.

Franklin Fuel Cells has received a $1 million appropriation in the U.S. Sen=
ate's 2006 National Defense Appropriations Bill for Phase Two of a project =
begun last year for the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research.   Franklin's =
copper-ceramic solid oxide fuel cell technology allows hydrocarbon fuels to=
 be fed directly into the fuel cell with no reforming or additional water/s=
