i don't care myself to much about permaculture i don't think there is
enough of the shift in attitude that will be required to stop the process
of denaturation we impose to ourselves .
I am way more inspired by the philosophy practiced by Masanobu Fukuoka where
it is primary to stop interfering with natural processes from the start or
to be bound to restablish them once disturbed ( i refer here to the no
cultivation , or no pruning principles ).

and "reestablish those processes "is a very different attitude and work than
fixing the problems created by the primordial interferences

i have lot of friends doing permaculture and what i see doesn't appeal to
my need for simplicity and humility .i have seen use of backhoes way too
often , one of my friend use it to scrape the sod away when starting a
garden .others in hawai have used it to clear the native vegetation .all in
the name of permaculture .

i have in india somebody who have been switching back and forth between
permaculture and natural farming for many years allways living natural
farming because of doubt and coming back to it after being carried away by
useless will power interventions .
