What most of us fear is being controlled.  told how to believe, how to live,
how to 'be', etc.  It sounds like y'all have found a way to move beyond the
suffocating politics that too often accompanies such efforts. Cool. it gives
one hope yet :-)

Don't worry about how it will work Forest. Negative Energy doesn't work in
any system. 

 

Every member of the community must volunteer to work one day per week. That
right there is a huge resource which alone can be counted on to do the
entire job. All we have to pay for is the Seeds or Seedlings.

 

Then there is Work Exchange for Summer Interns and others who will work year
around for Free in return for Food and Board and Fun.

 

Then there is Eden Hours which is Service Credits that can be earned and
spent as you please to get some help with a few things you need to get done.
We may choose to credit a few people for such work who really do want to
plant trees and do consider it to be of some general service.

 

Then there is Mendo Greens which is our main Local Currency. These are paid
to actual employees of the Community who have bought into the whole thing
and are now working for the Community which operates as a non profit
association. We may choose to hire some of these people to do whatever work
we may choose to get done as well.

 

Then of course we will still have a huge bank account that is just crammed
full of US Dollars that have all been marked with a T on the back that has
as you have seen remained largely intact except for the cost of the seeds
and or seedlings and a wide variety of tools and supplies. 

 

Committees will be created by the Council and sub-committees will be created
in turn. Consensus as you can see has no real place in the environment
because it doesn't have that much reality. It is not a necessary part of
this process or any other process known to science. 

 

That is just another tiny little tool with almost no effect like a spindly
rake that we can do all this work with or without. 

 

All you need to plant trees is a good stick. And I do have a pretty good
stick well in hand here as you can see so let us not start panicking about
the evaporation of something that was never there to begin with. 

 

I have not promised non stop all night consensus parties every day of the
week. We will play around with some of these curiously flawed structures
like Democracy and Consensus. 

 

Look who gets elected. It really is a crude tool and it is not used for that
reason by any of the exact sciences. It doesn't matter what people think.
Opinion does not change the density of water which in this group is very
high.

 

We should not be worshiping these false idols of ignorance and fear which
all comes only from one thing and that is Wrong Education meaning victim
based ignorance. Only the Lifelong Victims like we have seen here on the web
so commonly need protection from the Real Visionaries who come across like
Charlie Manson for the most part to those who just don't want to know and
don't want to learn because they already know everything which to me is a
lot scarier than Manson ever could be.. 

 

We will provide these folks with some degree of protection. But we do ask
them to give us a little bit of slack as well so we can continue to do our
best and not get bogged down in useless stupidities. 

 

That is why we will use the New American 3 /4 Consensus Process Version T
that is designed to beat all the others cold. The other stuff has just
recently been sold on Ebay just last week. We beat up all the other guys and
now we own them. 

 

We are very pragmatic here. I myself will speak up if no one else and say "
That is not practical" when dumbness begins to pervade the air. Old
expectations must be dropped now that the dawning of a new day has begun to
unfold right here before us all on this totally fine new day. 

 

But do read the material if you need more of an indepth understanding. This
has all been covered quite fully on the full blown website. Read it while
