simplelist members and footnotes

Hi,

I'm using the Debian/Sarge package 0.8pre1-5, and I've noticed that 
footnotes placed within simplelist members don't show up (although when 
I place footnotes in paragraph text, or tables they're fine) the 
call-out number is there, but no text appears in the footer.  Is there 
any sort of simple fix for this?
