(That was a non-standard naming of lists dating back to.. the dawn of DocBook - even before my time with OASIS!) So yes, this email list will be closing soon, but email service will be continuing with a different list address. The pattern will be oasis-[tc-shortname]@connectedcommunity.org. I *think* both "docbook" and "docbook-tc" will be set up. The new system provides a forum-like web interface to engage with "discussions", in addition to delivering email without triggering security filters. The modern designers at HL weren't just thinking of 1990 style listserv technology when they designed their tools. Many more details will be coming (not from me - I just happened to see your email exchange earlier today), but in the meantime, you may want to start to get familiar with the system, and the new paths to your familiar resources. The email archives (700k messages) will backfill into the new system over the next few days. when that is complete, any old mail archive URLs will redirect to the new location This transition will provide significant improvements and will change how you interact with your committees and mail lists. Changes to Expect The new platform combines all the workspace tools you=E2=80=99re using now,= but in a modern web environment with a number of new features to improve both your platform user experience and ability to engage with the OASIS community. This will elimin= ate many of the sending and deliverability issues your committee may be experiencing - Modern web interface and design for your committee internal work and public presentation of your work - A single combined platform for your Technical Committees, Open Projects, comment and other community engagement mail lists - All resources created in the legacy Workspace system will be migrated and available cohesively with your new work in the new platform.
