What is the official build procedure? I've tried it with Maven, but I was only able to build all module jars at once, but not to create 'apps'.

In the current build.bat there is also missing any support for specifying target Java version, so building produces jars incompatible with JDK 7.

Moreover, in that BATIK-1141 issue there is mentioned build.sh, which is not part of SVN any more. How Batik can be built on Linux?

In sum, I am missing a single page on the Batik project website dedicated to Building from sources, something like this
