it's probably best to ask this kind of question on the xerces list. 
however, i'd advise you to do some research for yourself before asking. 
known bugs are to be found in bugzilla so the answer to your specific 
problem is to be found by querying the bug reports. but, i suspect 
that's not what you really want to know. so, it'd also be better to 
describe more precisely exactly the behaviour which you think is buggy: 
ideally, include a unit test that demonstrates the problem.

there is one thing that you might check (before posting your question). 
have you checked that xerces is fully configured to validate against 
the schemas and that your processing the error reports appropriately? 
(if you're not sure what i'm talking about, google.)
