Hello all RTF fans,

This is to inform you of the release of jfor 0.6.0, along with some general
information about the project.

THE RELEASE:
V0.6.0 is available from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=29441
There have been around 3000 downloads of the jfor 0.5.1 jar, so you're not
alone if you're using jfor!

FEEDBACK/QUESTIONS:
For usage questions please use the [email protected] mailing
list (must subscribe first, see http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=29441).
As always, your feedback is welcome at [email protected] .

FOP INTEGRATION?
The FOP integration is slowly progressing - design discussions have been
going on, and FOP internals are being modified to allow easier integration of
other formats besides PDF. There is currently no set date for when actual
RTF/FOP code will be available to play with.

MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES IN V0.6.0
compared to 0.5.1 as there were no official releases since:

-Chris Scott's layout improvements (table borders etc) - see file
jfor-0.5.2-demo.fo.xml under samples/cocoon/tests/release-demos for a demo of
these new features.

-RTF template can be specified using a non-standard XSL-FO extension, see
simple-stylesheet-and-template.fo.xml.

-Cocoon 2 navigation added for the sample files.
Simply copy or link directory "samples" under the "mount" directory of a
Cocoon 2 system and access it from http://...cocoon/mount/.

-Keep-together implemented for tables, see table-keep-together.fo.xml sample.

-ant target "testdocs" added to build the RTF documents that test the RTF
library.

-Image-reading bug corrected, thanks to Michael Krause for his contribution!

-Various fixes, see changelog for more info.

Have fun!
