Binary compatiblity --how do you determin

I compiled my code with the libraries from
xmlrpc-c-1.16.24-1206.1840.el5.x86_64.rpm
(libxml2.so.3).

I am going to run it on a system with
libxml2.so.2.

How can I determine if they are compatible?
