They should do that but they need to modify the=20
source code too.  Remember this has to work back=20
at least as far as Java 1.1, and possibly 1.0.=20
(Do any SAX parsers support Java 1.0? I'm not=20
sure.) Furthermore it should work when someone=20
installs from source rather than jar, or mucks=20
with the classpath in strange ways. The classpath=20
in Java is a huge honking mess, and should not be=20
relied on.  If the VM can find XMLReaderFactory=20
in the first place, then=20
XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader() should work,=20
period. Remeber, we're only talking about the=20
fallback position that takes effect when the=20
org.xml.sax.driver property isn't set ands there=20
is no appropriate META-INF.
