We have a website that builds SVG animations. We love Firefox for 
development. It is almost always the first browser in terms of 
functionality. It animates slower and choppier than Chrome, however. The 
animations on this site are with SMIL tags, but they demonstrate the 
principle.

We have moved to javascript, and I think the follow link is to a

The javascript animates slower and more choppy in Firefox than in other 
browsers (e.g., Chrome or IE9).
