Strange char A00A, at the place of an indexterm

Hi,

I have a document with text like:

GIMP<indexterm><primary>GIMP</primary></indexterm>

This is shown as:

     +--+
GIMP |A0|
     |0A|
     +--+

in the xpdf and evince PDF viewers.

xmlroff is 0.6.0
libcairo2 is 1.8.6

Is there a workaround?
